In lieu of tickets for Embodying Power and Place, we invite audiences to consider making a contribution of any size to the following non-profit community-led organizations:

Anduhyaun Inc. strives to support Indigenous women and children in their efforts to maintain their cultural identity, self-esteem, economic, physical and spiritual well-being.

Anduhyaun Inc. is a not-for-profit, charitable agency founded to respond to the needs of Toronto’s Indigenous women. First established in 1973, over the last four decades, Anduhyaun Inc. has expanded to create culturally-inclusive, safe spaces for women and their children at various stages of life.

Native Women's Association of Canada

The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is committed to developing concrete actions to end the cycle of violence that affects Indigenous communities – particularly violence which may lead to the disappearance or death of Indigenous women, girls and gender diverse people. NWAC advocates on behalf of Indigenous women, girls and gender-diverse people to provide adequate long-term funding for healing and support services for families and communities. Ultimately, strength and resilience can be fostered by providing families and communities with a place to heal and receive support.

Two birds surrounded by lines

It Starts With Us is a community-led initiative founded as a way to honour and document the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, Trans and Two-Spirits. The intention of their page is to create a space for family members to honour the lives of their loved ones through personal stories, photos or other important aspects of someone’s life.

Please note, NWAC and It Starts With Us are not charities and cannot issue charitable tax receipts.
